Position Letter on Comprehensive Care for Seniors Act of 2018

September 27, 2018

Today, the National MLTSS Health Plan Association submitted a position letter to the Senate Ways & Means Committee commenting on the Comprehensive Care for Seniors Act of 2018.  The Association appreciates the efforts of Congress and the Administration to provide the PACE program with additional flexibility by finalizing the proposed regulation “Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)’’ (81 Fed Reg. 54666).  However, we believe Congress should also direct the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to develop a more uniform regulatory framework for integrated models of care that serve populations with complex and/or chronic disabilities, such as dual-eligible special needs plans (D-SNPs), Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMPs), and PACE.
