The MLTSS Association continues to elevate the findings and recommendations from the Strengthening the Direct Care Workforce Framework with Congress. Following our meeting with Senator Casey’s staff on the Long-Term Care Workforce Support Act, we created a brief outlining how the legislation could be updated to better leverage the strengths of MCOs to invest in the workforce. Our recommendations highlight the value of collaborative solutions to invest in training, data systems, technology, and a culture shift to ensure that direct care workers are prepared, supported, and valued for the critical services they provide.
